About Me
A passionate journalist dedicated to telling stories that flip the narrative. With almost a decade of experience in the industry, I’ve had the privilege of garnering experience in both broadcasting and online print, and I’ve loved combining the two to create engaging, multimedia stories that reach a wide audience.
My heart beats for solutions journalism, and I’ve made it my specialty. As a humanitarian reporter, my reports have documented responses to humanitarian and development issues, inspiring change and holding authorities accountable. My work has been featured in top publications like Daily Trust, Premium Times, Gavi, HumAngle, and The New Humanitarian.
As a Solutions Journalism Network accredited trainer, I’ve shared my passion and expertise with journalists from around the world, including Kenya, Turkey, and the UAE. I’ve trained dozens of journalists in solutions journalism especially with regard to conflict coverage, and humanitarian storytelling, empowering them to tell stories that challenge the status quo.
My work has been recognized with some amazing honors, including the 2023 Report Women Fellowship by the Wole Soyinka Center for Investigative Journalism, The New Humanitarian’s first Reporting Fellowship, and being longlisted for the 2024 One World Media Award!
I’m excited to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organisations to amplify marginalized voices, challenge existing power structures, and create a difference perspective of the world through stories.
